WHITSETT, N.C. ? Online applications are now available for manufacturing jobs opening up as a result of a previously-announced expansion at Lenovo ? a China-based computer maker with a facility in Guilford County.
Previously, the facility was responsible for the finishing touches on computers before they were packaged and sent to customers.? Now, the facility will build its computers from scratch.
The center previously employed 175 people, but will employ a total of 290 with the addition of the new positions.
